GPS Map Camera App Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to GPS Map Camera App("we," "our," "us," or the "App").

GPS Camera is a camera application that allows users to capture photos and add location information such as address, latitude, longitude, date, and time to captured photos.

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information GPS Camera may access, how that information is used, how it is stored, and what choices you have.

By using GPS Camera, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Access

Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, GPS Camera may access the following information.

2.1 Camera

GPS Camera requires access to your device's camera when you use camera functionality.

Camera access is used to:

  • Capture photos.
  • Capture videos, where supported.
  • Display the live camera preview.
  • Create GPS-stamped photos.

We do not use the camera to continuously monitor you in the background.

Camera access occurs when you use camera-related features.

2.2 Location Information

GPS Camera may request access to your device's location.

Location information may include:

  • Latitude.
  • Longitude.
  • GPS accuracy.
  • Altitude.
  • Speed.
  • Direction or bearing.
  • Location timestamp.

Location information is used to:

  • Display your current location.
  • Determine your address.
  • Add GPS information to photos.
  • Display location information in the camera preview.
  • Create GPS-stamped photographs.

Location information is not collected solely for advertising purposes.

You can disable location permission through your Android device settings. Some GPS features may not function when location permission is disabled.

3. Address and Reverse Geocoding

The App may convert GPS coordinates into a readable address.

For example:

Latitude: 21.168475
Longitude: 72.821478

may be displayed as:

Surat, Gujarat, India

The address may be displayed directly on your captured photo.

If address lookup is unavailable, the App may continue using the GPS coordinates already available on your device.

A failure to load a map does not prevent the App from creating a GPS text stamp when valid location data is available.

4. Photos and Videos

When you capture a photo or video, GPS Camera may create or access the corresponding media file on your device.

Photos may contain:

  • Image content.
  • GPS location.
  • Address.
  • Date.
  • Time.
  • Camera information.
  • EXIF metadata.

GPS Camera may permanently draw selected location information directly onto captured photos when GPS stamping is enabled.

We do not claim ownership of your photos.

5. Storage

GPS Camera may save captured photos and videos to storage locations selected by you.

For example:

Device Storage → DCIM → GPS Camera

Storage access is used to:

  • Save captured photos.
  • Save GPS-stamped photos.
  • Display saved photos.
  • Allow you to manage your captured media.

The App does not require access to unrelated files for normal camera functionality.

6. Google Drive

GPS Camera may provide optional Google Drive integration for users who choose to connect their Google Drive account.

If you connect Google Drive, the App may use Google services to:

  • Authenticate your account.
  • Upload photos selected for backup.
  • Manage files created or uploaded through the App.

Google Drive integration is optional.

If you do not connect Google Drive, your photos remain stored according to your selected local storage settings.

Google Drive data is also subject to Google's privacy policies and terms.

You can disconnect Google Drive at any time through the App or your Google account settings.

7. Map Services

GPS Camera may use map services to display map previews and location information.

Maps may be used to:

  • Display your current location.
  • Display roads and geographical information.
  • Generate a map preview for a GPS stamp.
  • Help visualize where a photo was captured.

Map functionality may depend on Internet connectivity and third-party services.

If a map cannot be loaded because of network connectivity, service availability, or another technical problem, GPS Camera may still create a GPS stamp using available location and address information.

The map is an enhancement and is not the source of the GPS information displayed on your photo.

8. Internet Access

GPS Camera may require Internet access for certain optional features, including:

  • Map data.
  • Address lookup.
  • Google Drive backup.
  • App configuration.
  • Advertising, if enabled.
